Swimming pools vary in depth and due care must be taken by all members of your party to familiarise themselves with the depth of the pool. You will find as part of your arrival information, health and safety details for the property you will be staying in. Please ensure you read this to enjoy your stay to the full.
In privately owned villas the cleaning of the pool is the responsibility of the owner and we ask that you allow reasonable access to him. Please ensure that you observe any information given to you to get the full use of the pool and maximum enjoyment.
If your accommodation has an infinity pool, please take extra care, particularly with children as this style of pool will have an open drop from the pool edge.
The standards of the roads have improved dramatically over the last 2 to 3 years with investment being made in crawler lanes for lorries and buses.
Petrol stations are very frequent on national roads. The majority of cars use "kursunsuz" or unleaded fuel pronounced “kur-shun-suz”. The cost of fuel is around the same as the UK.
Any guest booking car hire will be given driving instructions to their property, welcome letter with emergency contact details and other useful information to get you started.

We have a limited number of cots available, which are pre-bookable, at a cost of £10 each. Cot linen and bedding will not be provided.
In hot climates, insects and other pests such as rodents, scorpions and snakes are fairly common and are not necessarily an indication of poor standards. Whilst property owners do their best to eradicate this, they are at the mercy of nature and cannot be held responsible. Mosquitoes can be a problem and whilst most of the properties advertised on this web site have repellent machines, you are advised to bring or buy mosquito repellent for the duration of your holiday.
At time of writing, we do not charge for air-conditioning units in any of our properties, what we do ask is that you do not waste energy and turn off all units before leaving the villa.
Voltage in Turkey 220 volts and you will need to bring a 2-pin conversion plug for your personal electrical appliances.
Although potable due to the high mineral content, we recommend that you drink only bottled water- we supply a bottle for your immediate arrival. Tap water is fine for brushing your teeth, washing fruit and vegetables and general cooking purposes.
Clean bed linen and towels are provided twice weekly and a light clean is done at least twice a week in all self -catering accommodation- but does vary from villa to villa. Service does not include ironing and washing up. Sunday is usually the day of rest.
Please note that cleaning products and toilet paper are not provided.
Beach towels are not provided.
A mask and snorkel is a must to experience the crystal clear waters Turkey offers-can be purchased locally.
High factor sunscreens especially for children – these can be purchased locally but range and makes will vary.
For those wishing to walk on hinterlands and off the beaten track, a good pair of sturdy walking shoes is needed and a sun hat.
Most medicines can be purchased over the counter including anti-biotics, brand names may vary.

Turkey Al La Carte is not a specialist provider of holidays for the disabled, but we can advise on more suitable properties for people with limited mobility. Please mail us with any enquiry and we will be happy to advise.
We ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10.00am on your last day to prepare the property for the next incoming clients. Subject to incoming flight timings it may be possible to arrange an extended time on your accommodation, this is entirely subject to availability and must be arranged locally.
If you have booked a transfer with us, you must inform us of your airline, flight number, arrival airport and time. We will wait at the Arrivals gate of the named airport with the name of the party leader prominently displayed. You will be given a welcome letter detailing emergency contacts and other useful information to get you started. Should your flight be delayed or cancelled you must inform us by phoning our emergency number stated in your confirmation invoice. If your flight is cancelled or delayed by more than 3 hours, we regret that your transfer will be cancelled and a refund is not possible. You should inform us of your new flight details and a new transfer can be booked and paid for on arrival.
