This stunningly dramatic coastline runs from Antalya in the east and Olympos in the west and the mountains of the Taurus range that  follow its magnificent sweeps of coast.
There are many natural harbours and bays all surrounded by verdant green pine forests making this coastline one of the most dramatic and stunning in the whole of Turkey.

Cirali Beach near Olympos is a national park and is the breeding ground for the protected loggerhead turtles which makes it illegal to spike your sun umbrella in the sand for fear of damaging pockets of eggs that may be buried there.

There are spectacular waterfalls to visit-Manavgat being just one of them and the area is simply littered with ruins just waiting to be explored – Aspendos with its magnificent Roman theatre which Ataturk –founder of the Turkish Republic declared should be fully restored to its former glory. Perge with its great theatre and stadium with combined capacities of 27.000 people!
Above Olympos  and a must on the to do list is the The Chimarea or Burning Rock – a cluster of spontaneous flames that blaze from the cracks and crevices of Mount Olympos.

Sophisticated and liberal Antalya is also worth a visit, with fine museums, excellent shopping, bars and clubs but has preserved the charm of yester- years within the walls of Kaleici or the old quarter. Within the old town walls, you will find the character properties of The Marina Residence and Tekeli Konakları both carefully restored to their former Ottoman glory to create the perfect boutique style hotels.
